Disappointment

Disappointment is like a seed that I've placed in your hand.

You can sow it to the flesh, and reap bitterness, unforgiveness and anger towards the people and circumstances that disappointed you.

Or you can sow it to the spirit, and reap peace, trust and hope that I am in control, and I am working all things out for your eternal good.

Disappointment is also like a stress test before the promotion.

It exposes the heart's capacity to carry the weight of paradoxes and pain while still being light enough to soar in joy, celebration and trust.

Those whose hearts pass the test can be trusted with everything.

Disappointment is like the sheath of the sword of influence.

Those who have endured and triumphed over deep disappointment will never again put their confidence in their own strength, other people, or public opinion.

The scars they carry remind them that these things are but fleeing shadows. Now their eyes are on Me alone and hence, I can trust them with influence without measure.

Are you disappointed? Let Me use it for your good.
